- What is weighted vs unweighted GPA?
- Unweighted uses a 4.0 maximum for every class. Weighted adds extra points for Honors, AP, or IB so the average can rise above 4.0.
- How is GPA calculated?
- GPA is the sum of (grade points × credits) divided by total credits. Empty or zero-credit rows are ignored.
- Can I save my classes?
- Yes, on this device only. The list is stored in your browser’s local storage. Nothing is uploaded or synced to a server.
- What is an A+ worth?
- On this 4.0 unweighted scale, A+ and A are both 4.0. Some schools use 4.3 for A+; this tool stays on the common high-school 4.0 scale.
- How much extra do Honors and AP/IB add?
- Honors adds 0.5 quality points. AP/IB adds 1.0. Weighted GPA can therefore exceed 4.0. This page does not cap the number; your school might cap at 5.0 or another policy.
- How do plus and minus grades work?
- A− is 3.7, B+ is 3.3, B is 3.0, B− is 2.7, and the same steps continue down to F at 0.0.
